Look, he's a great player. But realistically he needs to prove himself a fair bit more over time to warrant that kind of money. When he shows he can virtually win games by himself.

Nicks will be finished this year. Their draw is really tough and they’ll probably only win one more game against the Power Puffs so he’s cooked like a goose and so to are the Selectors, Board and Chairman.

I dont think Nicks will go this year, however i do think at the bare minimum theres needs to be a complete shake-up of multiple areas, including list management and recruitment, player development, and assistant coaches.

The Crows performance is not just on Nicks and the coaching team, but the players themselves, the recruitment team, the list management team, the development team, high performance team and the Board. I ask the question, how many of the following players would hold their place on a top 4 list? Brodie Smith, Elliott Himmelberg, Hugh Bond, James Borlase, Lachlan Sholl, Ned McHenry, Patrick Parnell, Rory Sloane, Sam Berry, Will Hamill, Taylor Walker, Harry Schoenberg, Kieran Strachan, Lachlan Murphy, Matt Crouch, Reilly O'Brien, Zac Taylor, Chayce Jones, Luke Pedlar and Ben Keays ... Smith, Sloane and Walker have all been fantastic servants of the AFC. Many were calling for Sloane's retirement last year, and in hindsight this would have been the correct call. Walker had a fantastic season last year, but there has been a significant drop off this year. Smith has been declining for 3-4 years, and is no longer the player he was in his prime. I am sure the Crows list is full of young men who are great people, who work hard and strive to be the best footballers they can be. Unfortunately, approximately half the list would not make it on to a top 4 team / list based on current exposed form. There have also been question marks on several players for a number of years now which raises questions on whether they should have been recruited in the first place; have there been limitation or failures in the player development; should they have been delisted earlier and not held list spots for 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 years. Given the Crows list has also enjoyed 3-4 years under the guidance of Darren Burgess, who is recognised as a leader in high performance management in sport globally, one also has to wonder why the Crows are struggling to play 4 quarters of football every week. Indeed, some weeks it could be argued the Crows are lucky to play 2 quarters. Please keep in mind, I am not questioning the quality of these players as human beings, but questions do need to be raised and answered in terms of their quality as footballers this year, and in some cases past seasons, their capacity to run out games, their recruitment, their development, and the renewal of their contracts year on year. All of these elements also causes question marks to be raised with the AFC Board. Whilst Nicks still needs to be held accountable for his component of responsibility in team performance, and what happens on game day and during the pre-season, there are other elements of the AFC that need to be held accountable as well. There needs to be an independent external review on what has transpired at the AFC over the past seven years. Up until the end of 2017 the Crows strived to attain and maintain elite standards! For the most part, the past seven years have seen some abysmal performances where mediocrity has been rewarded on and off the field.

The first problem at the Crows is John Olsen and from there it needs a clean out as there is too much arrogance and it’s been there for years, can’t put all this on the Coach

The battles at full forward was a massive part of why the crowds went to watch. The full forward had god status to every respective club. A great part of the game that is now lost! One player scoring over 60 points for their team is unheard of now sadly.

Time to leave now Mr Nicks and with dignity sir or it will just be worse as you go each week. Do it for the members, sponsors and fans

It has got to the stage with the Crows that words mean nothing to their fans as we have heard it all before, it is only actions that lead to wins that will count. As a fan since they entered the competition and as a long term Gold member, I do not even read the many press releases anymore......stop telling us what you are going to do (and then fail) and just do it. It is a very well financed club, so stop telling us that you are going to stop at nothing to provide the best available off field to assist the club in winning on field and prove it. A start would be to stop skimping on coaches by bringing in newbies and go after the best available no matter the cost e.g. Chris Scott could flourish again under a change and the young Crows would be certain benefactors of his coaching experience.

Do any of them know what has to be done and is confident of what theyv done to meet expectations on game day. Lucky afl coaches are not competing against the rest of the world. Their attituse would not even get close to a b final at an olympic games. None
